Charles began investing in multi-unit residential and commercial real estate in the 1970's and upon retiring from medicine in 1987, devoted his full time to real estate development.

In the mid 1980's, upon selling his five shopping centers in southern California, Charles invested the sale proceeds into commercial real estate development projects in Bend, OR.

Recently recognized as the largest single person owned commercial real estate firm in Deschutes County OR, Charles controls 17 office buildings with a total of 300,000  sq. ft. of office space.

Charles, along with his son, Bill Bonnett, actively oversee the portfolio while engaging the professional services of Compass Commercial and Fratzke Commercial.

Together, the team has expertise in sales, leasing, property management,  real estate development and finance.

The Bonnett family has strong ties to Oregon, as their direct ancestors were one of the first families to settle in  Eugene, OR.

Today, the entire Bonnett family enjoys spending time in Bend and donating to many local volunteer groups, charities and OSU University.
